In need of two bites of heavenly deliciousness?  Craving some sweet fulfillment?  These are my new go-to guys to satisfy my cravings and fill me up with energy at the same time.  Prefect for pre-WOD or post-ANYTIME!

This perfect little snack idea started while I was once again cleaning the silicon ice cube trays that my daughter loves to play with. She fills them with dirt and makes little patties. I stupidly keep putting them in the same location that is the perfect location for littles to easily access.  This time, an idea sparked for a sweet clean treat.

The key to making theseperfect litte bites is an 18-cude silicone ice cube tray.  A $10 investment with so much flexibility.  Find it on www.amazon.com, search "CasaBella 18 Cube Ice Tray"

If you don't want to go in for this little guy, you can try using a 6" x 6" baking dish lined with wax paper.  Instructions for this alternative will be at the end.

LAYER 1

  • 1/4 Cup Coconut Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Almond Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Coconut oil
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Teaspoon Maple Syrup
  • Pinch of Salt

LAYER 2

  • 1/4 Cup Strawberries Sliced
  • 1/4 Cup Coconut Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Oil
  • Pinch of Salt

LAYER 3

  • 1/4 Cup Coconut Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Coconut oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Coco Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Teaspoon Maple Syrup
  • Pinch of Salt

Directions

In a sauce pan, melt the ingredient together for Layer 1.  Do not bring to a boil.  Heat over low heat until well combined.  Using a teaspoon, pour 1 teaspoon into each cube.  Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Clean the sauce pan, then heat ingredients for Layer 2.  Once the coconut butter and oil are melted, transfer to a food processor and blend until smooth.  Using the teaspoon, pour 1 teaspoon into each cube.  Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Clean the sauce pan, then heat ingredients for Layer 3.  Do not bring to a boil.  Heat over low heat until well combined.  Using the teaspoon, pour 1 teaspoon into each cube.  Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

To enjoy, pop out a cube by pushing your thumb up from the bottom of the cube.  Store in the refrigerator until ready to eat.  They will get softer the longer they are out of the fridge.

If using the baking pan, pour each layer in and refrigerate per instructions above.  Once complete, lift wax paper out taking the square with you.  Place on a cutting board and cut into 18 squares.  Store in a container in the fridge until ready to eat.
