Right now, Sunday's are filled with quick breakfasts followed by swim class for Stella, study groups for Dave and food prep for me. I spend 2-3 hours most Sunday afternoons preparing food so we all have clean healthy meals through the work and school week. All these commitments can sometimes make Sunday's not feel like a "day off".
This has been a major change from our pre-baby life. I tend to be a bit particular, leaning towards but not into OCD with a touch of anxiety; these busy "days off" can sometimes be a bit stressful for me. We make a big effort to balance that by making sure we do at least one activity that falls under "want to-love to-need to for our mental health" category. This Sunday it was dinner with Baba and Papa.
Dinner at Baba and Papa's house; one less meal for me to plan and lots of fun exploring the garden at their house. I'll share Baba's meal later this week... It was delicious!
Today I'm sharing my menu for the week and you will be seeing some of these recipes on the blog later this week.
I hope you had a chance to go outside your routine this week and enjoy family, friends or much needed solo time. Whatever falls under your "want to-love to-need to for our mental health" category, do it at least once a week, if not daily. It is too easy to get caught up in our commitments, yet so necessary to put them aside now and then for a little rejuvenation. Happy week!!
